Im amazed that there is no enb there. Normally I can tell, but this looks as good as any enb. Better even ! It looks like imaginator + enb
The one problem with skyrim is that there is no pc (computer even ?) in the world that can handle a fully modded skyrim with a good enb and everything turned up !

I would have to disagree with that but a lot depends on what is considered playable. I can use extreme/quality quality ENB settings with high SSAO settings for ENB's like Serenity, Kyo, and my own (all of which are very demanding) on a 1920 x 1080 screen with 193 mods that have ESP files and countless HR textures in the 1K to 4K range, with very aggressive grass settings, and ugrids 7 ... and get about 24-28 average FPS outside and 30-45 inside ... which I consider playable myself except for big exterior battles.

Slight tweaks to the enb and ini settings with more textures in the 1k to 2K range, changing min-grass from 15 to 50 ... and I can get very playable rates.

A lot of the problem is many users just aren't familiar with how to tweak ENB settings to get the most out of their rigs. That being said I do have a nice rig - older machines or machines with slower processing power (CPU/GPU) are going to totally run into problems.

Just wanted to point out that there are plenty of high end (without being over the top - I have a Titan GTX but only one of them and my PC itself is over a year old now) PC's that can handle a fully modded Skyrim with high textures and aggressive (very high) ENB settings.

Hi wolfgrimdark, I have unbelievable grass, but if I switch to verdant grass, it dents my framerate ! Ive got to admit yours does sound quite close to perfection though.
My GTX 970 and 4670k will say run at 30fps with an enb and verdant on imingrasssize =30, but it will feel like 15 fps or lower at times. The titan might have a bit more raw power though than the maxwell chips.
There always seems to be other things that can be added that require more horsepower, like high res npcs with good hair, or higher ugrids for landscape shots. Or just viewing your character 3rd person. Ironically for me using the high res textures make the general game experience worse, with slower loading times and popups ( Though I am using the bethesda high res packs). High res textures are generally better for screenshots though.
Riverwood redevoloped sorely tested my framerates too, especially with the leaf rest player home mod at the same time ! And the great irony is that for all the amazing parallax 4k textures in the world, some of the objects in Skyrim are incredibly low poly count ! Like tree trunks and marsh trees and most rocks ! If these were available in a higher polycount versions it would dent the frame rate further.
I guess all Im trying to say is that it is possable to get an amazing looking playable game, but it is also possable to add more to that and slow it down !

Btw I really must get around to trying your excellent looking enbs soon !

(p.s. now I come to think of it, I dont think I have any 4k textures!)

Oh for sure - there are enough 4K textures out there to kill most any game especially when you get into exteriors. I had to downgrade some of my 4k to 2k as I started to crash eery 5 minutes (ran out of memory).

But I don't consider that the same as saying a fully modded game with an ENB at extreme is not possible - it is. However anyone can certainly take that beyond.

Heck there are DOF settings for quality in one of the DOF code files I use that I just have to max out and my FPS nose dives to nothing. However the gain I get for that is not noticeable to my eyes at all (maybe a tech/artist type person would see it though).

Likewise for Prod's Bloom code - you can really increase that quality so high your game dies. Or run a game on super-sampling. I can kill my machine any number of ways FPS wise. But to me it is overkill as the gains are not even noticeable to the human eye in most cases.

Now granted raising Ugrids can yield some phenomenal stuff as well. But I guess again I see that as something very specific with a certain goal.

So in that case yes I don't think you can play a max out INI settings, max out ENB settings, with lots of mods and HR textures on any PC.At the very least you also run into the memory limits of the engine.

My goal was to just point out that based on what you had written you can actually do that - fully modded, good enb (on extreme or even ultra settings) and ... I guess the last part I would edit to say and "everything turned up ... to a reasonable amount where you are getting the best look for the most gain" :-) At some point it really is a matter of diminishing returns.

All good points you made though ... I should have clarified a bit more as in essence you were actually correct
