I do not think Kynthia should feel so badly for feeding on that bandit. Surely the bandit would have killed her, and Kynthia needs to survive.
A most wonderful work my friend!
Thank you for the link!!
Indeed Kynthia should not beat herself up over the feeding from the Bandit; but it is just her somewhat stubborn and to some degree even stupid way of trying to Keep her human side as Close as possible. She still has not completely accepted that she Needs blood to survive/keep her sanity intact. Hopefully she will learn that some time soon or find a cure.
Because a bloodlust Close to a Settlement might have very unwanted results
Very happy to my friend; and thanks again!
Well; I will teaser here a Little bit. For Koen it would make a big difference what she is .. for her it will not Change the Events .. as she will recognize him (maybe with the help of garm's and her own senses) .. and therefore won't be "able" to harm him; even in self defense But a Meeting between those two will indeed be interesting.
Thanks again for your kind words and feedback
(Thanks for the link)
She has indeed; and while she does enjoy the benefits of her fully fed state she is unsure if it is only beneficial; as she sees the less harsh Impact of the kill in dawnguard as a possible result of that feeding; making her "colder" - even though I do agree; she would rather go the "good" route as a Vampire If she will get the Chance to do so; time will tell .. all that is certain .. even in morthal a cure won't be easy to obtain
Koen is not far behind this time and Kynthia has no plans to hide out for a while like the first time; so I would assume that with the Information he can get in Dawnstar he will catch up .. so maybe they will (finally) met in Morthal
Very happy to do so, thank you again!
Interesting dream Koen had learning a bit about who he is and what happened to him in the past. And from the look of it no wonder he has blocked it out, betrayal is never easy to digest. Nice slow unraveling tactic as Koen figures out who he is, we also have a chance to develop our own theory on the matter. Will be interesting to know if I am right in my suspicion. Hah! I am also beyond happy that he is questioning his mission and the Dawnguard. What might this mean for he and Kynthia as the Dangerous Meeting grows ever closer! Once again very well done! ( Also very impressive Dream shot. I know that took some work to organize. Bravo!)
Glad you did like the dream shot of Koen's mind giving him bits and pieces of Memory in his dreams; as it is quite important for him. As you stated betrayal is hard to Digest; but subconciously it worked it's way into Koen's character - as he almost hated his Men for supporting Isran even though non had said something while they discussed if they should return to the Dawnguard Close to windhelm - but on the other Hand it strenghtens his nature to care for others; and try his best to protect both civilians aswell as his own unit. So it was quite the blow to have one man dying and another wounded.
Thank you very much again!
Great details ! and it starting to feel like a race against time for Kynthia..before Koen catches up to her and all hell break loose !
The cuddling scene between Kynthia and Garm was endearing and I'm glad that she have agreed to search for a possible cure for her condition, I suspect Garm is also very happy on that matter. Mmmm..quite an interesting twist you had when she lost control and drank blood from that bandit i have to say..though no one said things would always be easy.
Poor Koen is doubting his mission and his conviction, though i don't blame him to do so in front of such fanatism. That dream sequence was very intruiguing..so it looks like from the picture he was a soldier in the imperial legion..and he was left for dead..probably his side lost the fight. Though that raise the question to who he is....I do have my little theory on that hehehehehe....I know someone else that is in the legion and that was related to dear Kynthia..
Great work !!!
Very true; Kynthia is in a race against time at the Moment; and talking to the Alchemist in Dawnguard might give Koen enough clues to get even closer to her soon.
He was indeed a member of the Legion; but the Imperials did not lose that particular Battle; he was left for dead nontheless. And to be honest he even was wounded by his own side.. at least in his dream - as his own blade was not bloodied so far while he himself was wounded gravely. And in his dream the Blade of an Imperial right behind him was coated in Blood
Garm indeed was happy to notice Kynthia's Change of mind concerning the search for a cure; even if she is not yet completely sure if she wants to cure herself. Even though he was not amused that she fed against her will on the Bandit; but as you said - fighting the own nature is never easy..
Thank you again!
Kynthia seems to be making progress in both directions - seeking a cure while also losing some ground by drinking the bandits blood, although in that case I hardly see it as a problem as the bandit was going to die anyhow - why waste the blood. Sounds like the last attack went easier on her mind due to a sense of justice going with it. So will be interesting to see how the whole cure quest goes, how she might get out of service to Astrid (which seems unlikely - joining the DB seems like a life commitment in many ways), and how her encounter with Koen will go.
Koen seems like a good man if moody - was nice to see them take care of their fallen comrades - think that is important as it adds a strong sense of trust and moral to the troop knowing if something happens the rest will look out for them. I wonder if the dreams signal that some of his memories might be struggling to return ... seems like he is suffering from combat trauma of some sort.
Nice images and good story Alex!
Kynthia indeed has Progress in both directions .. and I do agree; the blood of the Bandit is not that bad; even though for her it means she has lost control - basically it is not about if it is acceptable or not; it is about the fact that she was not able to control herself - so that Event has increased her wish to cure herself.
I do agree; getting away from the Brotherhood might be the more difficult Task for her; but it seems to be possible as seen with Delvin - even though Kynthia has no clue he even exists; so maybe if she meets him she can get an idea how to pull it off - I'm sure he paided a heavy Price for his Chance to leave the direct Service of Astrid.
Koen indeed had some dire experience with combat; but it was not the combat itself that got him. His dream hints at a sort of betrayal that really got him; so for him it is very important to show his men that he cares about them; even if they have enraged him before by supporting Isran completely; without doubt. Because he knows that in a unit only unity can keep all members save - or at least as save as possible. Even though it might not have been the wisest move to keep hunting his Target with two Men less.
Once more thank you very much; glad you did like it!
