Well old age doesn't seem to have softened the mind..... in fact it would seem it has sharpened it.

I have read finally all the chapters, and I was very happy and inspired. I really liked the skill with which you dug your space by adapting the story told in the game, enriching and personalizing it in a sublime way.
What emerges overbearing, the extreme quality of the images and text. Your job is also an extraordinary direct advertising to the extreme quality of your ENB presets and a great ambassador of your considerable literary skills. But above all there is a lot of love and passion that exudes, your exceptionality as a person capable of giving so much and so quickly. As already mentioned, the story of Grim is a real saga, which has not much to envy to many others, currently in vogue.
The truth that makes me want to read it again, to grasp all aspects and this is a clear sign of the richness of the story.
There are of course of the narrative choices necessary to bend the story, in this inevitably bring folds something can be lost. The Eye of Magnus, is a mysterious ans symbolic object and must remain, the question of what it really is can only be guessed. Maybe, It embodies the hope that the technique, science and magic to bring man up to the gods. The ball contains the power in a three-dimensional circularty around it, but anyone who approaches inevitably go the way of the sorcerer's apprentice. Maybe Domina plays a little too much with fire without incinerate with it, except indirectly.
The mysterious Psijic order, maybe it is good to remove the toy from the hands of mortals, but on the other hand, perhaps the game's storyline, commits a certain naivety. The plot revolves around Winterhold, it is not clear if you have not played Fallout 3. The Psijic order exists as a form of external censorship and authoritarian, and downright parental, but there remains the question: who controls the controllers? Of course the gods, but not all gods are so moral, there are also the daedras that make the transgression their true meaning. The point is that the Order is the antidote to not to end the world of Skyrim like that of Fallout, but who can guarantee that the Order so attached to Padomay, it also does not fall into temptation and a few of its members do not start to play with the toy, too? I remain skeptical about the paternalistic claims of the Order, and perhaps the quest should not end up in Winterhold, but tell the tragic circularity that combines knowledge and power, in which the subject must learn to limit autonomously and do not fall in the need of heteronomy of an external power that limits him by force: this is to become fully adult. A mortal who has to reach the divine must necessarily grow up and learn this.

Hey thanks so much for reading through all of these Farvat, really appreciate your feedback and comments! I do have a lot of passion for my stories about Grim and his buddies. Hopefully the polish and improvements on my writing skills will come with time and perhaps a class or two next year.

I agree on the Eye of Magnus and I have no plans to even try and explain what it is beyond what the lore says it is. I am, however, assuming it has a lot of magical potential - such that it is way beyond most mortal understanding. Domina is only using a tiny fraction of it - based on lore she got from her ancestors on the Night of Tears, where the Eye was used by a massive host of Thalmor (the cream of the crop) along with some aid from Mora. Domina also got some help this time from Mora and that is how I am explaining some of the ability for Domina to access it and use it to control another divine entiry (Fenrir) keeping in mind he is a lower ranked diety. Even then it is very dangerous and she was a bit over-confident with it.

Indeed when Grim has to use it to free Fenrir he will also find out the risks involved with using the Eye ... but I don't want to reveal any more spoilers on that particular story!

I have played most of FO3 but did not finish it yet - I only got it late, after I had played FNV. I also see the Psijiacs some what the same way and also wondered - what makes them the ones to manage the Eye over all the others? However I would rather they have it then the Thalmor, Prince Mora, or even the College. I like Savos a lot but he also doesn't seem like the most ethical person. The Psijiacs will have to do for now I suspect (again no spoilers on Grim's story).

If I read your last bit right it is important for people to accept responsibility for themselves; to make their own unbiased and informed decisions and not shove that responsibility and accountability off on a third party - be it a god/religion, state, ancestors, etc.).

I think Grim is doing pretty good at this so far and tries to be accountable for his own actions without depending for to much guidance from his "family." Sometimes the choice is taken out of one's hands (the Psijics don't really ask about taking the Eye, they just do so in the game ... whether Grim confronts them over this remains to be seen).

Incredible work!!! So Avrein had faked betrayal in the only chance he could think of to save Grim! I had hoped he would do so. Sorry to see the death of Dominia though...she was indeed a formidable nemesis to Grim.
So Fenrir's gamble paid off, but will he have enough energy left even if Grim reaches a point where he could try to free him?
Still many more questions left to be answered!
    Brilliant work my friend!

Indeed he did! You know I am the care-bear of the story-tellers around here :p I have a hard time being really nasty. Hence Avrein turns into a good guy. Someday I will make a likeable "enemy" who stays an enemy. Much like some of the in-game characters for the civil war.

Funny you should mention Fenrir's energy levels as ... I don't think he does. In fact I suspect there will be a special "interlude" story coming fairly soon dealing with just that issue ... already in the works actually

Thanks very much for the comment!

This series is amazing. I have no words to describe the wonderful compositions you do with the pictures! Obviously, your ENB really serves to enhance the story you're writing, which I wanted to thank you as well for sharing those settings.

I'm not much of a reader, but I enjoy reading through it for its story, thanks to a good simplicity it has. Do you by chance have a link that could bring me to the beginning? I'd like to go through them a bit!

Hey thanks so much for the nice comment and checking out the story and shots! Aye playing with my ENB and doing stories with it helps me keep it tuned and tweaked ... although I will also often use other ENBS depending on the story - I like to sometimes use a different ENB when I tell a story from another characters point of view. Insomnia CGI ENB and niceENB by Saltr are good for cinematic effects. I also like to use my own Azura, Malacath, and Vaermina as well.

As for a link to stories - aye I keep them all on my website - but I warn you there are a lot of them as I am currently on Book III of Grim's stories! I also have side stories like the Unraveling (which is a community story with other Nexus writers), and stories about different soldiers in the Black Wolf Company, which is the Mercenary band that Grim is a Squad Leader for.

You can find them all here: http://home.comcast.net/~thunor/tales.html#gt

I also keep a time line of Grim and what he has done since his birth, plus character profiles, here:

Thanks again for checking out this story!

Lol I don't think I can pull of to many stories like this one - it really drains you. Lot of work and takes mental and emotional energy to do. Next few stories will be a lot lighter. Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks Derek - I am sure I will be working on part 4 pretty soon - but won't do it all at once and spread it out over the week. I am pretty focused on Grim's story and thinking it would be nice to finish his personal main story (freeing Fenrir) over Christmas break.
