“We found survivors: two Nords, Ralof and Hadvar. And, because things can never be simple enough, they're soldiers on opposite sides of the civil war.

“We had some trouble convincing them not to get at each other's throats. In the end, we agreed on a compromise: Ralof left to rejoin the Stormcloaks, but I promised to let his relatives in Riverwood that he was safe. Hadvar absolutely wants us to warn the village, in case the dragon that destroyed Helgen decided to go that way.

“Well then. It looks like I have to postpone my trip to Riften for a bit…”
