Strange Texture Effect

I can't figue out what causes this: after breaking down the iron armor in 3DS and creating a new nif to which I assigned CaBal's textures, I get this strange black effect in game on some of the meshes.

It all looks fine in Nifskope, BSshadingLight Property is exactly the same as Vanilla, and all other settings  identical. Pauldrons look just fine, but I get this strange effect in game on the belt and boots, as if somehow part of the texture appeared on the backside of the mesh.

I checked faces in 3DS as well as meshes - it all looks ok. It's not even a entire triangles that look reversed but only parts of them. Anyone has an idea what may be going on?

    you can see on the belly the same kind of texture problem.In fact a facing normal problem, your textures are fine.
    In your image, the spikes are dark on the left but good on the right, = normal problem, appearing only on certain angle of camera.
    Only I got the same problem in Nifscope too.


    I usually fix this, by reimporting the model in max than exporting again without any changes.
    You'll have to redo all textures import in nifscope unfortunately.

      Thanks Athenax, I'll try that.

      It's the first time this ever happens when creating an armor, I figured it might be a normal map pb (or maybe double-siding the texture) but everything I had tried to fix it failed so far. So back to 3DS I guess...

      Great work you did on your armor by the way!..
