Great chapter hon. Nice explanation for why Astrid had her eye on Kynthia for such a long time (and chose to disguise herself as a Fisherwoman). I can't say I blame Kynthia for joining the DB; what other choice did she have? Interesting that she knew Babette was a vamp and such a powerful one to boot. I wonder if they'll becoem friends of foes.

Loved the way you handled Veezara and his generous 'gift' to her. Seems her feeding issue is solved. I do wonder what Garm is going to make of her vocation though; he seems a noble sort and I don't know if assassination will sit well with him. All will reveal I guess!

Thank you very much, Jess Happy you liked the Reasoning behind Astrid "Stalking" Kynthia as the Fisherwoman and the "choice" Kynthia had. Well, Babette will most likely Play a role in the future which role I'm not quite sure. Happy you like the part with Veezara aswell!

For the matter of Garm. Well, he is not happy about it; I'm quite certain. But in my mind Kynthia will try to Keep him as far away from the acutal kill as possible. So he will know what she is doing; and won't be Content with it. But he won't be involved if at all possible; so I guess he can "overlook" yet another "flaw" in his Friend and Companion.. but time will tell

Every player uses Garm as they wish - which is exactly why Grim will never ever be a follower on Nexus, I would die first. I could never see him in the hands of another. Hard enough with Garm. Erik doesn't count since I didn't make him - Bethesda did, I just altered him a little.

I will give my own take on how I would see Garm on this, as his creator :-)

The assassinations are of far less concern to him *** IF *** it is simply killing. Sending the souls to the void is a very murky area and one very much unexplained in TES lore - do DB kills actually destroy the soul as well as the body? If so then Garm would fight and kill every last DB with every iota of his being as killing souls is completely and utterly anthem to his entire existence. He SAVES souls by bringing them to the underworld. Killing souls is pretty much the complete and opposite of what he is meant to be.

However I really don't know what happens to souls that go to the void and/or are killed by the DB in Sithis name. I prefer to think the souls actually go to the Dreamsleeve. The whole void thing is really a mystery. I don't think anything can be utterly destroyed (in either our world or TES) it just gets changed. All of creation came out of the Void and it will return ... and be born again. It is the cycle. So in my mind a soul sent to the void is more or less doing the same thing as sending it to the Dreamsleeve - it is being recycled. Perhaps by going to the void the soul has to wait for the next big cycle but I would not like to think it was utterly destroyed.

Anyhow if the soul is preserved then Garm has no issues with the loss of mortal life as that is merely temporary and fleeting anyhow.

The vampire issue ... that is a bigger problem as Garm is anti-undead. But I already addressed that issue in previous posts.

In the end each player plays Garm as they see fit :-)

Thank you very much for your tought out post

I can agree to the matter with the Souls and that it would be far more of a Problem if it was clear that the Soul was destroyed. (or like with black Soul gems "locked" away forever.)
But I would assume that the Soul is only "stored" until it can be recycled as you said

Well, the Vampire thingy will most likely bring a bit of .. tension between Garm and Kynthia

Interesting chapter Alex ... I apologize for not commenting earlier but I have some trouble connecting to Kynthia and if I can't connect to a character it makes it more difficult for me to get into a story. I enjoy the images and your creativity though and think you are doing a great job!

Great chapter Alex. Loved the interaction between Astrid and Kynthia (Fisherwoman indeed). I always liked Veezara, like him even more now he's 'helped' stem her hunger for a while!

Very kind of Veezara I must say. After reading Jess's comments below I have to say I don't think Garm will have too much of a problem with Kynthia's new occupation. I think he understands that assassination is just another form of public service. I think Whiterun is pooling their money to put a hit on Heimsker...
    Brilliant work my friend!

Well, he might have a slight Problem with it; but I plan to Keep him as uninvolved as possible Well, Heimskr is rotting in Dragonsreach dungeon after the imperials have taken over the City .. but I guess the other prisoners might try to get at him aswell, because he preaches down there aswell .. silly bugger!

Thank you very much for your Kind comment, my friend

Seems Astryd did not exactly give her much of a choice with those options, only one working for her, good that Kynthia was confident in her choice, seeing that she might learn some skills and find some information, she should step carefully though. Seems Kynthia drew her attention quite a bit with her previous deeds, giving them much to talk about. Was interesting how much knowledge Kynthia had about argonians and the shadowscales, greeting Veezara as she did, seems she quickly found a friend in him, having quite an understanding. It is good that he was able to silence the thirst of her nature for a bit. Her mentor had been wise to tell her to remember her tasks in her head, leaving no words for another to follow. I am curious to see what will happen on her first contract

Very fine work dearling! Great induction to the Dark Brotherhood. I am relieved that Kynthia has found one who understands her need for the Blood so that she does not need to take from the unwilling. I admit I was unsure which path she would take regarding the DB, after all Kynthia has issue with taking a life to satisfy her own needs why should the need of another, a stranger, bring her to take a life? Interesting little moral dilemma ; ). Tho, given Astrid's " choices" what other option did she really have. Excellent work on the Hideout Map as well. ; ) Very much looking forward to what follows!

Thank you my dear Ameven Happy you like the introduction into the Brotherhood and the "choice" Astrid has given to Kynthia for that matter

Well, on the Matter of taking a Life.. Kynthia is .. shall we say a bit biased in that Matter
Killing (or harming) for her own "Need" aka feeding on unwilling subjects she does not want to do because it would be her responsibility to do so .. if she gets the blood offered any and all results are on the "responsibility" of the one offering the Blood.

On the Matter of killing for the Dark Brotherhood, well .. since she has been trained from an early Age by an Assassin (namly verdyn) she is quite familiar with this Kind of Work. So she sees it like this: If a Person is marked as a kill for the Brotherhood, that Person will die one way or another. So to her the responsibility for the kill is not her own but on the Organization. She does not want to kill the target, but the Brotherhood does. So the Target would die anyway. And she can kill them with the reasoning "not personal, but buisness - not my responsibility, I'm just the tool" ..

As I said, a bit of a biased Matter at Hand, but thats the Way Kynthia Looks at it in my mind

Great new chapter my friend ! Seems like Kynthia wasn't left much choice about joining the Dark Brotherhood. But if she can use it to get her goals accomplished, why pass the opportunity ! Also looks like she found an other precious ally amongst her new 'family', Veezara whom willingly allow her to feed on his blood. He was also kind enough to share his own little hideout with her !

I'm eager where this path will lead Kynthia ! more writing !!

Thank you very much, Liadys Happy you like the new Chapter Well, I would guess if you enter a Dark Brotherhood sanctuary you don't have many choices.. they want to stay hidden, I would guess Glad you do like her newly developing friendship with Veezara

Will get to it right away.. maybe
