Damn. I want a Gram now I loved the transition from the light to darkness of both Kynthia and Gram. Well thought out, Alex!

Well he is great Mod by Wolfgrimdark avail here on the Nexus.. Garm the Husky Follower - available in several color variations (two whites, one with "normal eyes" the other with the Red Game of Thrones Ghost eyes aswell as the Black Reaper of Souls and a Husky Variation if I recall) and several sizes (the one in the stories here is increased in size via setscale commands .. ) and with or without armor ..

Glad you did enjoy this part aswell!

    Very nice chapter, as usual!
Awesome idea with Garm. To be honest i thought the friendship between Kynthia and Garm would be over soon....but this chapter changed my mind

    Great work!

Thank you very much; you are right - without the shadowy Garm it would have been hard to keep those two together

Oh this was brilliant! I too was thinking of having Garm appear in both his "normal" and shadow form but I see you are way ahead of me!

Great story and you did a nice job on Garms more darker side in Shadow Form, although he is still a loyal pup at heart as noticed by his ever cheerful grin

I am pretty sure I know what that note is - seems like she will continue her journey down into darkness even more.

yes, he is still the kind and gentle companion deep inside but his appearance was too much for the poor farmer trapped at the Lake nontheless

Well, I think your instinct is right with that message
Thank you for your kind comment!

Came back for a side note as I have been thinking about the Vampire thing. I see them (and werewolves for that matter, noting that Grim is a Lycan not a werewolf and also a nature spirit in part) is they work out (simplified) like this:

Those who seek it and those are do not. Of those who seek it they might do so for evil/selfish reasons and those Grim will hunt. Those who seek it possibly to do good or because they are naive (like Serena) or the like I think he may have a little more patience for.

Of those who do not seek it, like Kynthia and Sinding, you then have those who embrace it, those who accept it, and those who fight it all their life. The first group Grim would show no mercy. The second would be hunted if perhaps with some sympathy. The last he would try to help (which he does with the rogue werewolves).

So I could see Garm having some understanding of this with Kynthia as well. The Hagraven she was just naive about. The vampire she could not do anything about as she did not seek it and seems to want to control it - not sure if you will have her seek a cure or not - whether she does or not would also say a lot about her. However if she makes a decision I think she will - well then she will have made her own choice, of her own will, and that one will most likely condemn her I think.

So, just as a thought. If Kynthia would embrace her Vampiric Nature to bring down the Court of Harkon from inside, deciding against the Dawnguard and against a cure.. Grim would still hunt her down, if I understand your thought corectly, since she decided to embrace her vampirism, and to not seek a cure, or?

Overall a very interesting thought on the whole matter of Vampire/werewolf, and a good reasoning for Grim to decide on if he would hunt a Person for their Were- or Vamp- Nature or not, like it a lot

If their paths crossed I would say yes. Grim is more like Geralt I think in this regard (I am currently reading all the Witcher books so this particular moral issue is fresh in my mind).

In a few cases in the stories Geralt is presented with the "lesser of two evils" and decides not to choose at all (which is a choice of course) saying evil is evil no matter what.

One example is this special girl he is sworn to protect. He is offered a way out but it would mean the death of an innocent girl in return. Even though this special girl could be the savoir of all he would not accept the lesser evil.

This is how Grim is over-all. Kynthia may think it is acceptable to kill humans and do all the things she needs to do to infiltrate the court, as the greater evil is Harkon. A good case could be made for either choice though. Kill a few innocents to save thousands of lives? Perhaps Grim is being selfish as he wants to protect his own conscience while Kynthia is willing to damn her own soul to save the majority. Of course she has other choices she could make but that is besides the point

Anyhow Grim is stubborn and more simple when it comes to morals. He leans towards Geralts way. Evil is evil and it is all equal in his mind.

Have to say this Comment-Conversation is very interesting, so thank you for your thoughts and the describtion how Grim sees it all

Now, I understand the concept of Evil is Evil, and I understand why Grim is following that concept.. So I totally understand that he would not allow Kynthia "to get away" with embracing her Vampirism for the greater good .. so I guess it will be possible, shoud they ever meet, that your grim will be the end of Kynthia

Well, lets hope they will not meet; or at least not in a Situation where either of them would want to fight. I take it Grim would not start a fight in a Place with Civilians close by, as would Kynthia not do that So I guess everything inside a City could be considered neutral Ground, at least between those two

A really interesting chapter. I love how she tried to fight the vampiric rage but it (combined with the runes left by the hag) eventually took control. The we really got to see the strength and loyalty of Garm as he shed his white body for his shadow form to keep hr rage under control.

And of course it's getting super interesting now with the "fisher woman" popping up in Kynthia's tale again...

I like the perspective of your tale with it told by Kodlak to a mysterious companion. She is lucky to have a friend such as Garm there to keep her from being lost to the hunger of her nature, stopping her before she killed an innocent among the haze of that rage. Was also interesting how that fisherwoman let her approach, even giving her a hug of support after their long talk, good that she can see the good person that Kynthia still is beyond her nature, her eye awfully keen for a fisherwoman. Wonderful work, A Anataron

Thank you very much for your kind words and Feedback, Kamikazekossori! Happy you enjoyed this part of the Story. Well, the "fisherwoman" .. her true nature will be revealed some time soon but you are right, she has too keen eyes for a fisherwoman struggleing to survive on her own in the wilds
And Kynthia is truely fortunate to have Garm protect and care for her.

Super continuation of Kynthia's tale Alex.

She shows great strength of will to avoid killing. Must say she looks good in that Lustmord Armour and Garm's Shadow Wolf form is cool. Well done!

Oh, and if that woman's a fisherwoman, I'm the King of Siam!

Thank you very much, Derek! Happy and relieved you like the new part. Well, Kynthia will get her fix of Blood some time soon..ish, but first she wants to learn to control it. Wouldn't want to drain somebody empty.. And Garm is very helpful for that matter; helping to control her as best as he can

Well, I guess she is not that ... innocent and harmless, that Fisherwoman

Great new chapter, Alex! Kynthia definitely looks dressed to kill in her new armor even though she still hasn't ; ). She is so amazing, fighting not only to control the Bloodlust but the Rage as well! I knew Garm would try to protect her as he always does but I was not prepared for such an undertaking. When he raced toward that Circle of Whitecaps to do what must be done, my heart was with him! They look very well matched now and with the transformation, he will surely be able to help her as things get trickier. Speaking of tricky, what could this Fisherwoman be up to with all her strange questions and the careful leaving of that message in Kynthia's armor? Anxiously awaiting the next chapter my friend!

Thank you very much for your kind words and Feedback, my dear Ameven. Well, I think she still does not want to accept that she needs the blood of other persons to stay as strong as she can be. Well, the next part will Show what that Fisherwoman is up to .. I think .. wait, I should know, shouldn't I? ..

I think Garm is happy that he could help her but still not happy he had to use his Reaper Form to do so. So I guess both have to get used to their new Powers. Maybe both will grow from it.

Happy you liked the new part!
