Ah, always nice to see more of the EC. (Even if Sabjorn isn's sure he agrees. )

I wonder who the daedra was in Ripp's lineage. And I wonder what DD will think of Alduin's offer...

Also, Ripp makes a good point about groups like the Vigil. My own impression is that they can be a bit overzealous, even if their hearts are in the right place. After all, not all among the "abominations" are evil -- just ask my orc (werewolf) Rog, or my Nord (vampire) Aenar -- or for that matter, Sybille Stentor or the Companions. I know I touched on this a bit too with Kolmar and his Vigilant ex in one of Andil's chapters. (As Kolmar told Andil: "Vigilant Torbal and I fell in love a few years back. Got pretty serious, too -- until he figured out I'd never join the Vigil. That, and I don't mind werewolves, or even vampires, if they behave themselves.")

Anyway, nicely done as always, aok, both pics and story!

I think sometimes Evil is defined by ones position on the food chain. Whereas true Evil is acting out of hate in the name of hate.
He he, just trying to give the perspective of my "anti-heros"
      Thank you my friend!

Great pics and story at always. I like it if Alduin says "... little one..." to Ripp. It makes him likeable

A collection of both epic and hilarious shots, as well as a great story (anything with Alduin is always nice to see, as he is one of my favorite, yet sadly under-used antagonists in the game).

I agree with a lot of the previous posters, that the images of Alduin are really well done, but the last pic with Ripp's maniacal grin and Sabjorn's troubled expression is indeed priceless!

Btw, now that you mention Ripp's possible Daedric lineage mentioned by the Eater of Worlds, it makes me wonder who her real mother might be.

Thanks Carnage! Yes poor Sabjorn, he has the dubious honor of being the EC's favorite brewery!
I think it was Ripps Grandfather who was Daedric, the gene was dormant until Ripp where it was awakened by her Dragon blood from her Fathers side.
(Or so I have heard )

Hmm, it would certainly be interesting if Ripp was related to a certain horned hellion that we have all come to know oh so well... ;-)

Great new story AoK with a lot more intrigue behind it as well as the side aspect of the nature of being evil and demons. You make some excellent points and ones I have also looked at when viewing the Thalmor or the Daedra (good and evil is often relative to the culture/race/situation). Of course I think it is more than just seeing Ripp and Silke as different - it might be less their looks and more the fact that they eat human flesh for food that tends to put them on the wanted list. The Deer and Wolfs respect each other but no Deer is going to lay down and be happy the wolf is killing and eating them. Granted when you look "evil" (demonic I suppose) people are going to assume certain things even if they did not kill/eat humans so that is a good point.

Still people have to make some assumptions. If you see a werewolf bearing down on you the best thing to do is not greet it with open arms on the assumption it might be a good werewolf (like Grim or Erik). Always the problem in real life as well - sometimes you have to be cautious first. Of course that is the nature of evil or criminals or what have you - pretend to be good so you can gain trust and then abuse it. Which then gives a bad name to everyone.

So great story ... got me to thinking on a lot of things as you can see Also, as I mentioned on a post by DoC, I hope to do chapter 7 of the Unraveling soon and will be mentioning Alduin if that is okay (may PM you when ready) as it is clear Alduin has some business with this since he acted as a messenger for Sithis to Mora. Just another entity taking advantage of all the worm holes in time and space

Great shots of Alduin by the way! Enjoyed this latest story of yours very much.

Damn Wolf! You're making me think!!
Let's just call it the Evil Company's idea of "Natural order" And even Werewolves need love yes?
Thank you for your epic response and your work has had a heavy influence on this chapter. I hope you don't mind the minor mention of the Blackwolf Company. Apparently Alduin is well aware of them
      Thanks again my friend!!

Not at all - it was a nice little touch! The BWC is a very powerful but small and secretive band of mercenaries. They tend to be mostly neutral in politics and events - they only care about nature, wolves, werewolves, battle, and following Fenrir. They tend to lean slightly to the good side in that they support nature and life but they also have to respect the balance of life/death and light/dark. They are mostly made up of rogues, scouts, rangers, and fighters plus a few wolf-shamans the odd mage or two. They will work very well with the "new" thieves guild Grim has created since both hire out for similar work - espionage, spying, sabotage, retrieving lost artifacts and stolen goods, some blackmail, body guards, small rescue missions, escorts, etc.

Of course if Alduin wants to destroy the world, and hence nature, they will get into conflict at some point but for now they may avoid each other.

Fantastic chapter hon! I don't think I've seen any lady on the nexus smile better than Ripp; that last shot of her grinning is magical!

It was interesting to see Alduin and more importantly, hear what he had to say. The offer was intriguing enough but learning of Ripp's Daedric heritage was most illuminating. Can't wait to see where that heads... I wonder who the daedra is that was involved in her lineage??

I couldn't help but notice how much more involved, sophisticated and detailed your stories have become. You've really embraced the nexus as a writer now; you stand right up there with the Wolfgrimdark's and Nataly's of the nexus, dear. Truly well done.

Thank you so much hon! Ripp send thanks for the compliment about her smile. Maybe she was thinking about Rathe?

And thank you for your high compliment on the writing. Really not my style as I still prefer the "Graphic Novel" feel for my work, but had a lot of plot and character points I needed to make in this chapter.
As for the compare to the great Wolfgrimdark and Nataly, I am honored, but I'm not even in their league!!! (or yours) But I truly appreciate the compliment!!!
      (Hugs)
