The eye mods I'm using are this http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/498/? and the eyes of beauty. I've seen screenshots of characters where the red part looks normal but I don't know why my characters eyes are like this.
looks like a bad alpha to me. Check the textures if you can. Also, have you messed with the eyes in any way ? I know that ece has sliders that can enlarge the eyeballs and other stuff like that and it may cause this issue.
are you using custom races or anything like that ? textures might be incompatible. If that's not the case and this issue is bothering you that much then you'll have to open the eye meshes and see how the textures align.
As I said before this looks like an alpha issue. Just open the eye textures with photoshop and gimp and check that area to see if it's black on the texture. If it is just paint over it quickly and that should fix it.
No custom races. I've done no editing and I really don't want to edit character textures with GIMP. I don't know the right options when exporting the .dds
well, then you can't do anything about it. You can't fix the problem without editing the texture. Try a different eye mod or other colors from the same mod.
The only thing I can think of doing and by the looks of what I have read, you have done that in a different fashion, is to look at those specific textures and meshes in TES5Edit and see if there is something that way.
Look at all the mods that you have loaded that could possibly effect that, maybe it was an unintended change in a mod.
But like I said I think you would have seen something based on what you have already done.
The red part of the eye is that way if the eye uses the vanilla mesh. It was a flaw in the original game content. Some custom eyes on the Nexus use a different corrected mesh, which is why some look normal. Also, if you use an eye shape that is narrower in that area, it is less noticeable.
I have uninstalled the eye mods and reinstalled them. the problem is still there. even with vanilla eyes. I've also got natural eyes, which is also effected.
Edit: yes but that didn't work.
I'm thinking of uninstalling all models and textures and then seeing where the problem comes from.

Good Luck.
I'll continue trying to fix it tomorrow.
Edit: Sorry, jmenaru already mentioned it...
Is it there only with that mod, or is it with vanilla as well?
What have you done so far in trying to fix it?
EDIT: have you tried this mod:
Eye Normal Map Fix by Mr Dave
