Once again I thank all those who have commented, those who have given their endorsement and even those who simply have visited this page. I honestly saw the subject, I do not think I get as much consensus. I'm composing the fourth chapter and it will be published as soon as possible. Again thanks a lot.

Lorelai is so beautiful in her alive pictures. Once I got to where the children were in the mine, I had to control my mouse wheel to make sure I could not see the next image until I had read all the text. What great suspense! And now with the end of this I am off to see what happens to the kids that dared to venture out.

Oh my, as the children instilled some new "protective" emotion in her, what will happen if the Necromancer harms them? Could it empower her to turn against him???
    Brilliant!
Can't wait for the next chapter!!!

A great chapter in her story, and so true to life how children act. It even reminded me of a time in my youth, acting on a dare. Though, I am happy that I never encountered anything like those your story.

Fantastic next instalment. I do so love it when you put pen to paper dear! Your stories, as Jon says below, are always a delightful mix of philosophy and horror. I wonder if the necromancer does something to those kids whether they in an undead form will be the balm her soul needs? Wonderful...

But certainly, the comments of talented storytellers like you, Jon and others have explored the possible developments. I am very gratified by your comments and thank you very much.

      P.S. A balm ... an interesting idea.

Oh awesome story - loved this mix of philosophy and questioning on the nature of being undead and the soul Cairn combined with the more down to earth story of the three kids out on a dare to form some secret group via an initiation rite. Lots of suspense as I had no idea what you were going to do to the kids and it went up and down - would she kill them? Then she saves them ... and now only after that lucky escape the necromancer finds them and it seems like it might be all over. I am fearful now those kids will become undead children to the necromancer and her lady.

Fantastic images and really enjoyed the story.

I concur with wolfgrim's assessment 100%; also, I feel so very sorry for the poor woman, being trapped in hell between the Soul Cairn and the living world.

Inserting the shots of what she used to look like versus what she looks like now evokes a powerful and tragic sadness within one's heart and soul. Also, the music by Wardruna, with its haunting melody, fits oh so perfectly.

I'm really starting to hope that terrible Necromancer gets his intestines ripped out and eaten like spaghetti by his beloved undead creations.

IAs we already mentioned, the question of the undeath, raises interesting perspectives about the practice of necromancy, here cruelly tied to the fetishistic relationship between love and death, which interweaves the story. The philosophical aspect is certainly always present, and gives me the opportunity to pose some reflection between the lines of the affair. Here I most certainly expanded the narrative possibilities of exploiting the best split on two levels, one earthly and the other metaphysical with the Soul Cairn. A praise also goes to the authors of the piece, as it has been noted that it binds very well to the narrative.
A big thank you to both!

Your images are beautifully done and as for the story... phenomenal! You've done amazing work here setting up these scenes and I can't even imagine how you create them but undoubtedly it's very time-consuming for this level of perfection. What a sad twist to this installment and a new level of horror. But I can't look away- I have to keep watching! I look forward to more of your well-crafted story!

Many thanks Bowsong, in truth it is not so complicated to do vignettes, once you understand the trick. However, there is certainly some work behind. I hope the next chapters will be up to it.
