About this image

There was something special about this night, she thought. the sky was clear, despite the few defiant flakes of frost that drifted slowly down to the firmament. She gazed upward, eyes falling upon the two moons that rose lazily into the early night sky.

The cold-hearted assassin reached out to pat the neck of her most trustworthy mount, taking notice of how even the moonlight seemed to refuse to cast upon them. that's right, she was the Listener, the Harbinger of the Void itself, come to bring another soul home to Sithis. Shadowmere pawed impatiently at the ground and looked about, as if to tell His (or her) rider that they had tarried long enough.

"Alright, Shadowmere." she relented, finally parting her gaze from the northern lights to the city of Windhelm that lay far below them. "It wouldn't do us to well to wait too long, after all, if we can take out the target by dawns light there is a hefty bonus in this contract for us, isn't there?" she smiled her feline grin behind her cowl and set off, towards Windhelm.

Man I hate that Shadowmere's a male int he lore of Skyrim. got too used to shadowmere being a mare. blegh. oh well. enjoy my first attempt to write something in ages.
