About this image
Dawn of Fire
The majestic bird of prey, soaring high in the lofty sky,
gliding over the swift winds, uttering a keening cry.
Monolithic sculptures, loom as shadows, over Rannveig's Fast.
Mute effigies, and remnant reminders, of a bygone past.
The screeching winds, wailing across these ravaged lands most foul.
Chilling my bones; like unseen spirits, crying for their lost soul.
The blood-red hues, of the dawning sun,
flaming angrily, over the distant horizon.
My heart knew then, suddenly and for certain.
Today, blood shalt be spilt of any and all: beastfolk, mer and men.
It was, but surely, an omen.

The Flight of the War-Eagle
THE EAGLE of the armies of the West,
Dying upon his alp, near to the sky,
Through the slow days that paled the imperial eye,
But could not tame the proud fire of his breast,—
Gone with the mighty pathos! Only rest
Remains where passed that struggle stern and high;
Rest, silence, broken sometimes by the cry
Of mother and eaglets round the ravaged nest.
’T was when the death-cloud touched the mountain crest,
A singer among the awed flocks cowering nigh,
Looked up and saw against the sunrise sky
An eagle, in ethereal plumage dressed,
Break from the veil, and flame his buoyant flight
Far toward the hills of heaven unveiled and bright.

Trail To Eagle
Walk upon the trail,
that links the,
future with the past.
Take the Oath,
Live the Law.
The pathway to Eagle,
is steep and narrow.
Your journey will require,
skill and fortitude.
Your reward:
Knowledge and Understanding.
Enough to base a lifetime on.
Your challenge is to;
Take the journey,
Join the few and
Soar with the Eagle.

As stars with trains of fire and dews of blood,
Disasters in the sun; and the moist star
Upon whose influence Neptune's empire stands
Was sick almost to doomsday with eclipse:
And even the like precurse of fierce events,
As harbingers preceding still the fates
And prologue to the omen coming on,
Have heaven and earth together demonstrated
Unto our climatures and countrymen.
~ Shakepeare
(Hamlet, 1.1)
