Wonderful Wolf, very sad moment with these good memories, the memories of a loyal friend, a pure friend, a sincere friend without bad thoughts, a friend wolf like his descendants the dogs they never betray the people they love.

See Grim running with the Wolves is beautiful, I hope nothing will happen wrong at Wolfgar...
Very nice music too for increase the sadness of this part of the tale.

Grim Vintage with the vignette can be very great for flashbacks I think.
And by the way, an awesome set Wolf ! That pup is very cute, someday he will become a gigantic wolf, like Ghost in Game of Thrones ! ^^

Aye when he is full adult his fur is going to turn all white, just like Fenrir, and he will be a little big bigger than a Dire Wolf - maybe about cave bear size. I have been tempted to make him a runt though ... as he is so cute as a puppy :-)

I use my Vintage for many flashback tales - it is the reason I made it. The last one I did was about a month ago I think, Haldirs Cairn, and will probably do more. Right now totally tied up with Grims big adventure with the Thieves Guild and hunting for his mother.

      Thanks for the comment!

Wow, such an amazing and lovely series about "little" Wolfgar!
These images brought back some nice memories! (especially the 2nd one, when they met for the first time.
Believe it or not, I indeed tried to find a four-leaf clover in the 9th image.

Thanks Tobjoern ... You know I think Mindflux made those clovers and not sure if he hid one in there or not ... would have been cute if he had

I adore the second image and I will never forget that story - it is my favorite of all my stories and the one that touched me the most as I wrote it.

Wolfgar is a cutey Part of me has debated keeping him as a little wolf, I even came up with a plot line that would do it ... but on the other hand Grim has many fierce battles coming his way and Wolfgar as a full adult would be very helpful. So I am torn between keeping him young or having him age naturally.

Glad you and your sister are both enjoying my stories and images!

First off, I've been a fan of Loreena's music for a long time, ever since I heard the Mystic's Dream.
Dante's Prayer is a very fitting choice for the growing years of Grim's young wolf companion, Wolfgar, and the special bond that they both share.

Second, I've been on both sides of the spectrum with the forces of good and evil in Skyrim, and you handle both of those aspects very well in your stories. ;-)

Many thanks DoC. I see Dante's Prayer as not just a song for a death but just in general. It is about remembering someone and perhaps loneliness of life in general and the need to somehow feel like others will remember you.

Thanks for the compliment. I admit I tend to be skewed towards the good side and often have a tendacy for a more Disney-esque or care-bare story approach but I also enjoy adding some darker elements, although much harder when dealing with animals I admit.

Hey great images John. They put tears to my eyes. Just hope nothing happens to Wolfgar.
What does Wolfgar see in Grim. brother, father, or that wolf bond.
Just wondering because I like his loyalty and loyalty good to have in that cold land of skyrim

Really like the song. I would listen to it after working the farm. So relaxing when I sit down looking at the overcast with my dogs letting me know I am not alone, so yes this brought tears to my eyes.

Thanks Ronald! Well Wolfgar's mom died when he was just a little pup and Grim saved him from the hunters and from being alone. So they both bonded at that point. Grim was probably around 18 years old at the time (he is around 20 currently, and Wolfgar is about 2 although he doesn't age like normal wolves as he has some divine blood). Grim was also pretty lost and alone with the horrors of the last few years weighing him down.

Besides the mutual need for company, Wolfgar is Grim's half brother. Fenrir is both Man and Wolf, he crosses both sides. Whenever there is a need for a champion he mates with a human (almost always Nord). He had not done so for close to 500 years, but he did recently and that produced Grim.Somewhat more often, every other century or so, he mates with a she-wolf b&@*$ and those pups tend to be exceptional wolves with long life spans, preternatural senses and abilities, and higher intelligence. Wolfgar came from such a mating although all his brothers and sisters were killed by hunters.

As an aside such matings occur in Fenrirs own realm. He can not take on physical form on Nirn because his physical form is bound in chains beneath the planet, put there by the Thalmor back at the Night of Tears. Grims job is to see if he can finally free him or give him peace from his bondage.

So TLDR they are bonded through love and blood. Glad you enjoyed the song. I was pretty emotional when I did the post as I often think of my own dogs when I write about Wolfgar. They are such loyal companions and so loving, I can't imagine ever hurting a loyal animal.
