I've gotten involved with a modding project outside of Nexus and the last 2-3 weeks have gotten eaten up by it.
Also the scabbard looks crazy when the Kukri is sheathed in the dagger position, theres a lot of clipping because it's bigger then a normal dagger/scabbard. Will have to remake it and it will still clip!
All that said the re-texture did come out ok so I'll push to update the mod. Honestly I'm never sure anyone is actually interested in the stuff I do so it's post like yours that usually make these things happen
you *could* just shrink it to dagger size and leave out the sheath/scabbard on the dagger for a Beta release.
i dont think there would be clipping issues as they stick-out into midair
i currently have the daggers from http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/15494/? equipped and i don't think they have sheaths (at least they don't show when equipped on the back - dunno about on the vanilla positioning)
Personally I don't think 'shrunken' models look good, the proportions go all wonky, but anyway I tend to make things with vanilla in mind. Theres so many great mods out there that reposition your weapons I just can't make one weapon that fits all of them (as much as i'd like to).
hehe - i'm just trying to keep the kukri dagger / retex in your mind.
of course you gotta make items for vanilla positioning, i was just suggesting the clipping issues might not be an issue for those repositioning their daggers, right hand swords used to clip through my left buttock with swords on back with my favourite (out of combat) idle, so i just changed to another idle where it doesnt clip
for me a sheath is not the highest priority. currently my default weapons are mehrune's razor and a dread knight dagger. the razor has a scabbard for either hand, and the dread dagger has one for neither side - it doesnt bother me. (see the pic i changed again)
glad you like it dude, it's your fault I did it! I went to fix that problem with the .esp on nordic kukri you found and it's turned into a new, 0.95 version of the mod
New textures for the Kukri and scabbard, dagger version for perk trees and obviously fixed crafting
