About this image

(I was a bit disappointed when seeing the Shrouded Armor... The Nightingale is so much cooler to look at... You too, assassins of Skyrim ! You need to feel bling-bling-ed ! :p)

Hello there, I'm trying to make (more like patch xD) armors for the mod "Muscular Women" (by Elmanouche) but I'm definitely blocked by the skinning, and as I'm using 3Ds max and Elmanouche Blender, I'm a bit desperate. I know about the 2 models (0-1), .nif and .dds import/export.

I have difficulties with understanding the videos I found on youtube. English is not my mother tongue and while I can read/write it, I'm lost with oral understanding. So if someone has a written tutorial somewhere, I'll take it, thanks by advance :)

    You should show It to Bethesda, so they can see how really DB armor looks like ;-)

    Whoa this looks awesome! Hope it gets released sometime here soon. And that it will be wearable by both male and female. Great work!

    This... This is glorious. I've found one good tutorial from the Elder Scrolls Alliance, (http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/tutorials/category/40-3d-craftworks/?). It is for Blender, which is what I've been using, but I haven't found any for 3ds so I'm sorry if this doesn't help. :/

    I give you a tremendous amount of respect for working your way through the swamp of modeling and skinning for Skyrim a language that is not your native one (I still haven't mastered it), and I wish you the best of luck. The armors you've posted need to be in-game asap!

      Indeed, there is a lot of good tutorials for Blender, I'm thinking maybe I should make the skinning there, but it's a bit annoying to switch softs for something that is not clearly explained ;_;
      Thanks a lot, I'm lucky enough for the moment not to have lot of work to do IRL, so i'll persevere !

      That's one of the reasons I decided to dive into Blender myself, because most tutorials for Skyrim modding are based in it (open source is a big draw, I guess. )

      You should be able to export something in Max and import it into Blender, and then use a partial bone weight copy script from the original armor pieces so everything gets weighted properly.... Its certainly confusing.

      I'm glad to hear you'll be working on it, this looks perfect for a set of "Listener's Armor"!
