After a gruesome and bloody battle that ultimately culminated in the destruction of the Great Vampire Lord Harkon, the Dragonborn journeyed back to her home in Riverwood.

Slipping into the soothing, healing waters of her private underground warm springs, the Dragonborn and party enjoy good conversation and a WELL DESERVED day on rest and relaxation (there's nothing like that delightful feeling of the very first dip in months into these magical waters). After finally finding a spot that suited her fancy, the Dragonborn strikes up a conversation with her elven companion, Chaconne, while Danariel enjoys herself underneath the spring’s waterfall... But moments later, the conversation is interrupted by a loud, insistent knock from the back door that leads to the spring's stairway. Behind the door awaits an impatient Nord, one of the private messengers of Ulfric Stromcloak, who shoves a letter in the face of the Dragonborn before she can even finish greeting the fellow.

After glancing at the letter and then immediately back at the stout Nord, the Dragonborn expression quickly changes to one of exasperation.
