D&D Campaign - World of Urun
D&D Campaign Character - Ranic of the Sarithans - Barbarian Chieftain
IMPORTANT!!! Please read part one of the story before reading this second part. The link to the first part can be found here: Unconquerable
The Hrun General, Bakras Jund, was not satisfied with the results of the initial attack into Sarithan lands, so he ordered another attack just a couple of days later. This time, the Hrun troops were ordered to completely eliminate all remaining Sarithans, including the women and children as well. They were also ordered to claim the severed head of the revered Sarithan cheiftain himself, and bring it back to General Jund, as proof of their success.
After the bloodshed of the second attack came to an end, there stood only one survivor, and that was the Sarithan Chieftain himself, Ranic, The Last Sarithan. As Ranic looked upon his slain brethren and his ravaged lands, he made another promise…
“Gone…Everything gone…
The men, the women, the children, all vanquished. My lands conquered, razed, and left in ruins. You attacked without provocation. You attacked with tenfold my men. Know that even with the might and fury of your attack, you have failed to achieve your main objective, and that was to kill me, the most dangerous and lethal of all Sarithans.
Know that I come for you, General…
Know that I come with a heart filled with vengeance; that I come with Hraagnir’s spirit, and that I come with the memory of my people. And when I find you, know that they will be guiding my sword arm, and know that you will answer to them…all!”
-Ranic, The Last Sarithan
