Finally found the time to read this chapter slowly and boy am I glad I did! I can't believe how much your version of the Greybeards is like the one I've just written! The frugal meals, their overwhelming gravity of presence - it's quite scary how alike we view these guys! Nice tantalising glimpses of who Grim's mother could be; got me very intrigued in what's to come. And I have to say I'm so glad Erik stood up for himself and said "I'm coming too!" It was so obviously what grim needed; he'd have been miserable without his friend at his side! I only hope Erik's presence isn't too much of a distraction for the big boy, especially now as their true feelings off one another begin to surface.

Thanks Jess My favorite view of the Greybeards is the one that Kayol did, so sad she is not around any more - I adored how she did hers.

I suspect we see them as monks or some such so share similar ideas. I made them a bit less severe as well ... as you know Grim spent a few months there when he first visited so he had plenty of time to grow on them as he did a lot of training with them and helped out everyday with their general "house keeping" tasks.

I am looking forward to getting your take on it as I enjoy your word-smithing as it is much more detailed and in-depth and always enjoy seeing your view on the world of Skyrim

From this point forward the overlap will stop though. Grim will be off doing some contracts for the BWD and hunting for his mother. Delphine said it will be at least 4 months before she is ready so he won't be working on the main quest line for awhile.

Thanks for the feedback and support, much appreciated!

Always impressed by their loyalty and love for each other (even if they don't always show it )

Sometimes Grim is not very sensitive, but luckily he always noticed it on time!

Your storys are always very detailed, for example, that the Greybeards take their meals in silence.
Such things make it easy for the reader to delve into the story.
    Greatly done Jonathan!

    Fantastic images and music too!

Many thanks Heidi Although considering that only Argenir talks I suppose that was a rather mute bit to add lol. But clearly they enjoy their silence so it was more about them frowning at Erik and Grim making a lot of noise during a time of reverence

Excellent part of the tale, very moving, Grim is officially Dragonborn
I am happy to have learned a bit about the mother of Grim, he is lucky to have a friend like Erik, a friend who tries to comfort him as best he can, this is an exemplary friendship, even some something much stronger than a friendship.
So many questions about his mother after this discovery, here is something even more disturbing Grim, but I'm sure Erik and Wolfgar will always be there for him as he is there for them.
Very nice pictures with great atmosphere and the music is just beautiful

Fascinating story, imagery and song, Wolf! My favorite line was: "How could I be called a friend if I let you pursue this on your own?" - great stuff! I have only known Heaventhere for a short time, but I was not suprised to hear that she lent aid with some ideas concerning Mother Grim. She has been an encouraging and supportive friend to me from the very start. =)
