I've been learning to paint. This is my first attempt at a detailed digital painting (well, any kind of detailed painting) and I'm pleased with how it worked out. I used one of my Skyrim screenshots as a reference, but this is 100% painting from scratch, no photomanipulation or anything.

I learned a lot in the process. I hopeful that with practice I'll be able to rely less on a reference - in the early stages I referenced my screenshot constantly, trying to understand every shape and shadow, sometimes having it underneath in a layer so I could directly compare like with like, but as time went on I relied on it less as I became more confident. I don't feel confident enough to draw from imagination yet, but hopefully that time will come

By the way i took a look at your deviantART gallery and i found it very nostalgic, the "city" was very interesting i liked it, oh and lil fuzzles is very cute. LOL

Thanks for checking me out on dA. It's only recently I've started spending more time there, the community is very warm and welcoming, everyone wants to help each other - I really like it.

Mastering one skill is more important if you want to leave a mark, but i agree its so much more fun to learn and develop several types of skills.
Seems like a very great community, maybe i should make an account there, i also have some drawings and paintings i wouldnt mind sharing.
