I just feel Dannee has something missing she cant seem to find, she has wonderful friends but she feels she needs to take care of them, but who takes care of her, who holds her when she is hurt and sad and afraid, I think she feels sometimes she has not one to truly count on always, who will be there when she needs them. Ambrosia wishes she could sit with Dannee so much, try to show her that sometimes those memories she is allowing in are what is holding her back from letting herself be happy, the past is called the past for a reason so Ambrosia feels as we can not change it but it can change us if we allow it too..the present is the gift we are given each morning, a new day to show us the wonder we deserve, and Dannee deserves so much to be happy, now Sam needs to step his butt up and do what is right, its time that man showed her she can be happy.. I know I always want Sam to be more the man and do what is right by Dannee, but dang it she so deserves happiness... she is sweet, lovely and takes such care of her friends, show in this story by her worry over the Thalmor attack and kids, making sure they are ok and taken care of and good families take them and make them their sons and daughers.... that has better be Sam she feels lmao... he better not have forgotten its Christmas..
Great Story so filled with what makes Dannee her, her love, her caring, just her being herself. Amazing shots I love the one of her as a child the 3rd one from the bottom, finger to lip, shhhh, what a lovely flashback
You are so right about Dannee, she does really miss someone she could lean upon, someone who would be her strength and anchor in her moments of doubt, anxiety or fear... I think even Dragonborn could not be strong all the time, such pressure can result in nasty emotional outbreak. and the second Dannee's problem that you also rightly mentioned that she can't let go of her past and as long as she carries that burden with her, it keep bringing her down because she keeps blaming herself for the mistakes in the past. That her issue and besides that, like many dragons she has arrogance and always tries too hard to be strong, not to show any weakness, but as I've mentioned such behavior can result either in emotional or even mental breakdown. So in short she needs Sam, who believe me, will show himself.

Dannee is in a catch 22 life, her biggest loves are her friends and her biggest concerns are their welfare and that the closer she attach's herself to them, the more responsible she feels she is for them and she's always finding more people she to take responsibility for.
Nice to see Aela get another look in with a bit of fun with her story telling attempts, but I guess the day when Dannee's life becomes happy is when you stop writing about her so off to chapter 2 so see what's next

Oh, so true, Dannee posses a great loyalty but also incredible sense of responsibility to those she loves and their well fare. And in that way it can be said that Sam is easiest to love, since he is completely immortal and Serana, Dannee best friend is almost invincible too... but of course as time passes new people appear and since they are frail and mortal, Dannee's concern for them only increases... I think she really should put more faith in fate, than think she can control everything or she will fall to real paranoia.
Well, what can I say about Dannee happiness... I think total bliss can be fleeting and by the way Dannee once has experienced it, strangely in darkest time of Skyrim when Alduin menace was present... Back then she had only one person she loved in whole Skyrim - Sam, who stayed with her few months and that time can be called her real unblemished state of happiness. But such state of ever lasting bliss can't be long in Skyrim, because there always be something big or small that can be a threat or simply stand in a way of total happiness.

Can you clarify a section? She talks about:
"At night Dannee stared, wide-eyed in the darkness, and entertained the thought that she can feel her liberation somewhere beyond her nose, as if it’s twisting in the shadows. She feels as if her entire being is shunting forward in pursuit. As if her eyes, her soul is trying to burst free from the cage that she felt might close on her."
When you talk about this are you referring to Dannee having nightmares about Mora and being captured and senses freedom nearbye but can't reach it? Or are you referring to something else?
At least she is able to distract her self and I like that she does that by helping others. Real life studies do show that helping others greatly increases ones own sense of happiness and worth so I think that it is a win-win for Dannee to do that.
Love that shot of Dannee in the intricate armor and Dawnbreaker - just an awesome image of her. Interesting and cool twist o nthe Skooma Den as well. Hate that place.

You are so right about being strong one and the question - to who such person much turn for help and support? I think that in closes friends absence the strength must be found within.
As for that part that you asked clarification, it was indeed about Dannee's most persistent nightmares about being tied to Apocrypha, since by now she has not gotten expert confirmation that its stain hasn't taken its corruption stain on her. Sorry if this obscure somehow, but I wrote these two chapter, while I've caught nasty flu.
You are also right about win-win situation for Dannee, she likes to help others, it one of the things that brings her true happiness and a sense of contentment. I am glad that you've liked that bit with Skooma den, I hate that place too.
I am very happy that a piece of story about Orphanage and kids were touching, I felt like kids personalities there wasn't real;y explored and it is always interesting to see the point of view from a child as well as their problems, like with Sissel and Braith with interference of Sofie or with the continuation of the tale about Tairellla from Runa.
Indeed, Dannee should rememberer how much her friends love her, but she has it in her, melancholic trait but according to Paarthurnax it is a problem of all dragons, to fall into such state and only being in friendly company can dispel it.
