It could have been avoided.

If only she has been aware of the creature sooner she could have went another way, found a different path through the valley. No such luck, her senses failing her in the cold wind the bear had gotten too close.

It had seen her first, and sensing a danger had attacked her. She tried to run, but the deep snow made it difficult. So regrettably, she drew her weapon and turned to face the beast.

Moments later, it was down.

She knelt by the dying Bear, sad and angry at what had passed. She blamed herself.

Hopefully, Kyne would not blame the Bear.
