Day 6
Description:
Well as you can see, not knowing how to import armors into blender and into Skyrim hasnt stopped me from trying to create more armors. I created these from scratch, WITHOUT duplicating or altering the body nif(obj) file to create an armor base.
In the first one I simply tried out a few shapes, as I didnt pay attention I messed up and it ended up bein pretty ugly. (*hit delete*)
The second armor has a very clean mesh that I can use as a base from now on.
I also tried out a few sculpting and texturing techniques. I'm also happy that I managed to make the metal look like metal, mostly.
I also managed to get a reasonable polygon count 15k. Which is just 1/10 of what I would end up with 1 or 2 days ago.
BUT STILL, I dont want to use 2.49b blender and other outdated programs, the only alternative I have found is to use 3dsMax 2012, but I don't own it. So unless there are compatability plugins for the newer releases of 3ds or Cinema, nothing will be usable in-game.
So if anyone knows anything or anyone else who might know, tell me :D

Importing skyrim assets into blender is very easy now. All of my older armors were made from vanilla assets using blender 2.49b. PM me if you would like some more in depth discussion.

Since I'm getting the same kind of feedback everywhere, I will have no other alternative than to look into the 2.49b version of Blender.
Luckily I have done my good part of research, maybe I'll send you the source of my Info for possible review (if you want to dedicate the time), or I'll come at you if I have an unsolvable problem (I suppose there won't).
Thank you again for your assistance Natter, love the nostalgic morrowind feel in your mods
