Sharris knelt down a picked up a small stone, without looking she examined it with her fingertips before tossing it down the path ahead of her.
Nothing.
"Still, at least on a lonely road you don't have to be mindful of attackers."
Smiling to herself she set off down the track and into the mists beyond the pass, searching for the way to a town she'd been to before only twice. A den of thieves and liars, she wondered why anyone not involved in the business would remain there.
Her contract had been specific though, Riften was the location and her target was not to survive the coming of the morning.
