You capture the fear of facing a dragon so well! Really raises the stakes. I even thought for a moment that we might lose Larkspur in that battle. That dragon looked so fierce, so much scarier then the one I faced here - That's Skyrim's leveling for you, while you're off killing time for a month or two between quests, all the monsters are beefing up and getting stronger and stronger.
"Where did all the meat go?" Right for the hunter to wonder this. You always stay so true to her character. Great work once again

I would never do that! I'm too much of a girly, giggling softheart to kill him off
Thank you so much for your comment!

Seems fate has found her and is pulling her down that twisting path ahead, making her face things she was reluctant to, knowing that she could not refuse the task she was given, that battle against the dragon the first few steps down that path. I really liked how you described the Jarl and the people of Whiterun seeming older, that fear and uncertainty making them weary and how Irileth's speech matched the hardy and simple nature of her men, the right words to give them the courage to fight. The battle was wonderful with Saga's eyes seeing that swirling beast approaching, the great wings moving gracefully, that paralyzing sense of awe and fear she had as Larkspur tried to snap her out of it, a arrow singing its deadly song when her thoughts cleared, that greeting from the ancient voice of the dragons flowing into her. I see Saga no longer hides her blind eye, seems she has accepted that face that she once thought seemed not her own, gives her a more confident look. Such an intriguing interpretation of that quest, really like that way you see the world of Skyrim, beautifully done, Kayol ^^

As we all know, fate can be a real meanie, right? To tell you the truth, I was thinking about making Saga a Dragonborn for some time. At the end it only seemed right - because she's totally not the type for that. She doesn't bear resemblance in her heart to the dragons, she's more like some little mammal who hunts at night. Maybe the discovering that other part of herself will turn out well for her?
Thank you, as always, for your wonderful feedback!
