And Ermil ... oh, the bastard! Daynilla was right all the time not to trust him. I did not know that there was no marriage between Altmer and Nord recorded in history, although this fact does not really surprise me because most of them have ideas of racial supremacy or simply ashamed of admitting a relationship with someone considered inferior to their peers.
Poor Dannee was completely blind to Daynilla's warnings
Another great chapter with beautiful illustrations, Nat! Great work!
Bethany did quite a foreshadowing while humorously describing Dannee’s meeting with her prince… which will happen in Skyrim but with few twists.
Daynilla was old and wise woman with lots of experience in life while Dannee was socially awkward young lady who fell in love for the first time, so I guess it is no surprise that all Daynilla’s warning fell on deaf ears. I read in ESO dialogues that Altmer men won’t even give a second glance to some human women who had no famous ancestors or ancient respected families like Direnni clam in Daggerfall. In Oblivion there was Altmer man married to Dunmer woman but I’ve never seen or heard Altmer married to Nord.
Thank you very much again for your kind words!
On to next chapter!!
I think we all have at some point in our lives...
I absolutely ADORE Bethany. She was so bubbly and vivacious; the other side to Dannee's coin. She's a real cutie too... shame what happened...
Love how Daynilla just KNEW that Ermil wasn't all sweetness and light that he pretended to be (though damn he sure was good looking, no wonder Dannee fell for him with those cascading locks and silver tongue).
Wonderful dear, and now i'm off to read the next chapter
Yes, Daynilla is very old (Dark Elves can live 500 or 700 years if they are not Telvanni, for those wizards live even longer) and she had a lot of life experience unlike young and naive Dannee who for the first time, being in love did not listen to her, which was so very sad.
Really beautiful!
I love this story where you made for Dannee, I think you can write a book with stories like this
Good luck in story writing for the future.

Love seeing Dannee this way.
Okay, let me comment on each part while I'm reading:
I like Dannee's thoughts about her relationship and the way Sanguine perceives her - whether a toy or a hero. That's very intriguing - he can make her feel like an object to make her believe in her abilities the next day.
And the fact she cannot name the feelings she has for him makes the whole situation even more interesting for the reader, namely me
And the flashback! Good lord, I like flashbacks... I like that young, bookwormish Dannee
You touched the sensitive subject - the woman's role in society as perceived in fantasy, but still high influenced by our history, world of Skyrim. That's admirable since there is still no equality in this world.
Ermil is really handsome. I'm angry that I have to admit that (he's a bad guy, I can tell), but I have a soft spot in my heart for Mer
Awww, poor Dannee, so awkward at the big party! We bookworms don't like that kind of gatherings, I can relate to that.
I like the conversation they had during the game of chess, it was very... cinematic? Is that even a word?
Another nice plot construction - I liked the description of the feelings blooming slowly in Dannee's heart. And Daynilla, feeling that there might be trouble if that relationship goes any further...
Oh, and the shots are great! Dannee, you are our Victoria Beckham of Skyrim!^^
Going to part 2, see ya there!
Yes, Dannee sadly is always in dark about how Sanguine feels about her, and the other examples of mortals fates who were involved with Daedric Lords are not very exiting (the game books named "Accords of Madness" illustrate it perfectly). Well, Dannee sure feels affection for him, yet she is afraid to get betrayed, for the next chapter will show the psychological damage she received from her current subject of affections.
Thank you again! I love bookworm type of characters, they might be a little strange sometimes but they are cute and memorable, like feeling awkward at the big parties, this I can also relate to.
And the role of women in society in indeed an interesting subject, seriously even nowadays sometimes I can see that those issues about women as inferiors still live in some people minds.
Considering Ermil, Daynilla was right all along, in fact it was his beauty that drew Dannee to him in the first place and the lesson she later receives will influence her future greatly.
Thanks again! Dannee as Victoria Beckham never crossed my mind, but that is awesome comparison.
fantastic pictures to a beautiful story.
