I heard him last night. Alduin.

The roar was enough to wake the Greybeards from their meditative state, and soon they joined me outside in the courtyard.

The world eater had already gone by the time they got ready, but I seen him. Dark, heavy wings and the glow of fire from his eyes. Paarthanax was there, clutching to the mountain side in order to remain hidden from sight.

I watched Alduin rise, stretching his wings and covering the moon until he flew overhead and into the darkness. A sight to behold.

Had he seen me? Or was he too distracted by the world as a whole to focus on anything in particular? I couldn't say, and in the morning even Paarthanax thought that his ancient brother seemed confused as he returned to the world.

Perhaps his time away has taken it's toll on him, weakened him to some degree. If it has then it won't be for long. Alduin will rebuilt his power as soon as he is able. A plan must be formed, where would he go first, and why? The Greybeards remain silent once more, and I am left with the words of my mentor echoing inside my mind.
