The weird thing is that Unreal Cinema gets superior frame rates with everything enabled and turned up, while Somber's seems to lag behind a bit. At the moment I still pull a good 35-40 on average with Somber capped out around all lighting/DoF/SSAO settings, so I'm fine with it. But it is definitely a little heavier on VRAM usage and your GPU as a whole. But that's fine because IT LOOKS FUCKING AMAZING. <3

I found the same thing. With Unreal Cinematic, all toys enabled, and using ENB based down-sampling at 3840x2160 I am getting about 20-28 fps outdoors in the woods and grassy areas, and about 30-45 indoors. Using hardware based DS (which I just figured out how to do) at 2560x1440 my fps actually is very playable - more like 35-40 outdoors and 50+ indoors.

But Somber is a killer on performance. Even with memory tweaking, the ENB based DS was a fps of 7-15 for me outdoors lol. It took some effort to make those screenshots. With the hardware, and slightly lower resolution, I got it into the 20s outdoors and 30+ indoors which is playable, if barely. Good for exploring and screenshots though.

I still got a lot of tweaking to do though as I learn more. Hoping I can find a good balance of DS as I still find jaggies w/out the hardware based AA from v119 or lower. However the DS combined with SMAA is fixing that ... which is sweet indeed
