For those that are interested, I have provided Varillion Satoshade's background story just below.
BACKGROUND STORY OF VARILLION SATOSHADE: (Taken from my previous TesNexus image titled “The Story of Varillion”)
Many centuries ago, there lived a powerful mage from the cold and brutal lands of the White Empire. He was a charismatic, cunning, and ambitious man who was also the lord and ruler of the city of Eorhild. This mage, named Varillion, attained unmatched arcane power never before attained by any mortal from the past or present. Varillion was an iron fisted ruler; who often ruled by fear and torment. Believing that he was a deity in his own right, he expected nothing less than utter devotion from all of his followers. In a grand arcane ritual that involved the entire city of Eorhild, Varillion demanded to the deities above that he be given his own rightful place to rule among them. Although Varillion wielded godlike arcane power, the deities above were incensed that a mortal would dare to make such bold demands. In a fit of vengeance, the deities rained fire and quakes on the doomed city of Eorhild, sinking it deep within the ground, leaving it in twisted shambles. This destruction vanquished all who lived there, save one…Varillion. The deities had prepared a special curse for him, transforming him into a foul creature of undeath, cursing him to live with his own brash arrogance and insolence, eternally. Over the centuries, the coldness and anger harbored by Varillion flourished, and through their own stories, the people of Urun have given Varillion a new title. They also renamed his once glorious city, now twisted and sunk below ground…Tumblehill. Thus, the legend of Varillion Satoshade was born. Throughout the centuries, the people of Urun, except for the most foolish of treasure seekers, stay far away from the sunken ruins of Tumblehill. Knowing that the Blight of Humanity himself, Varillion Satoshade, still resides there, still full of hate and rage for what the deities did to him so long ago…

I love that line almost as much I love the look of your character--meeting him in the dead of night, blight or not.
The ice-cold fire in his merciless eyes, shows all his rage and hatred through the ages!
Wonderful image, and excerpt, I enjoyed it.
