A Bond is Formed

As a hunter I never believed a bond could be formed between a person and these savage beasts. Until that night.

I was out hunting a pack of wolves, who recently attacked a farm near Whiterun, killing several heads of cattle. As I was prowling through the shadows I heard the cry of the wolves and a roar of a great beast. As I approached I saw three wolves attacking a snow bear. The beast was roaring out for help as the wolves surrounded the beast. I drew my bow and launched an arrow at one of the wolves, dead. The other wolves were too busy with the bear to notice anything. I drew my bow once more and killed the other wolf, then again and another kill. The bear collapsed to the floor, covered in blood from the scratches and bites the wolves had caused.

As I approached to get a clean kill and finish the job, the bear stood up and stared into my eyes. It was nothing like I've ever felt before.

A bond was formed.
