About this image

Ever been annoyed by the blue mountains of CoT's Overcast weather types? Or the bright white horizon during certain Heavy rain weathers? I know I sure have.

I have checked and changed the ESM/ESP files to have the correct colors set during those weather types where the mountains are grey and fade in nicely with the sky color.

Now all that's left is testing and asking permission for upload from author (which I will hopefully get... but I have a lot of doubt about that :( )

Anyway, feedback appreciated! :)

I'm looking forward to this --and I'm not clear on rules for this sort of thing, but are you modifying COT or simply issuing some files or config changes to overwrite or go on top of COT? I agree that getting permission or acknowledgement from the author is important, but I don't want that to stop you if you don't hear from them.

I'd love to help test it!

Basically what I done now is modifying the colors of fog and adding a tiny bit of blur into it... this to make it look a bit like the view is obstructed by the rain/snow falling. I'm working on hiding the subshine in heavy overcast weathers (CoT sunshine goes through everything even when it shouldn't imo), and after that fine tuning the blur to be higher in heavy rainy weathers, because you're not suppose to see much in those.

It's currently only edited in the main CoT files, I'll make plugins eventually when happy with the settings. Perhaps within the next few days I can have a test setting available.

Perhaps I'll also try and fix the very bright vegitation on overcast weathers when using CoT (known issue of CoT), example here; http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/images/271492/ ...grasses should be less bright.

All other CoT weathers will look identical to the original mod, I was just not satisfied with the Overcast/LR/HR versions of the mod. I assume it was done to provide smooth transitions between the weathers, so only the clouds would change.

Another thing of worry is CoT patches that change things already (like Fog/Rain)... they won't be compatible but that would be an easy thing to patch anyway.
