He could have been king but Madanach was more versed in the Kingly ways so he bore no malice to his bother he would follow him to hell and back if Madanach asked.

The Forsworn view The Reach as their ancestral land and do not accept its Nordic occupation. They were briefly the rulers of Markarth until Ulfric Stormcloak and his men killed most of Forsworn in the city about twenty years prior to the awakening of Dragons in Skyrim.

On that day that Ulfric attacked the Forsworn and Lorkhans Life changed , Left for dead on battle feild his brother captured and imprisoned , Lorkhan managed to crawl, hide play dead until he found a safe cave witch would be his home for the next 20 years in that time Lorkhan studied and invoked the dark and forbbiden magic of the old Gods.
Now Ulfric has started a rebellion and Lorkhan might not like the Empire or the Thalmor But he has a score to seetle with Ulfric and he will Have his revenge.
