    Another great chapter, Jess! It's very interesting to see Rathe try to adjust to his current situation. I'm sure it won't be easy for him to deal with another on his travels. What's life without a little bit of chaos thrown in...right? =)

    Pretty cool, I like their story. The base story is known and remind among others "Leon, the professional" or more recently the tv show Dexter with lumen. Still well written and pictured. Will she develop the stockholm syndrome towards Rathe ? Will she want to become an assassin too ? That remains to be seen.

    Also : "Not enough time to get back to Markarth. But maybe enough time to make it to Windhelm"...wait what ? That's like the complete opposite of the map

      Actually Raldbthar is only a hop step and jump from Windhelm! But travelling to Markarth would mean going all through the mountains etc - too far and treacherous at night!

    Even though his care for Fleur is on his special cold way, he is kind of kind to actually help her. Not many would do as he in this case and you told this wonderfully as usual, Jess!

    Epic line at the beginning:
    "Is she dreaming of that monster brother of hers?... Or the monster who killed him??
    Just when I think you can't get any better, you do.
    She has know where to go, he doesn't know what to do with her!!
    Love this series!

    A very sweet and heartwarming episode. He's trying to be tender and kind to her, but due to his own massively negative life-experience, his patience with her is short, and his kindness is a bit cold, but nonetheless sincere.
    I love the conflicted emotions he's got roiling through his very soul, such as the realization that, although she may appear soft, she can display an intellect as sharp and hard as that of her late and UNlamented brother's.
    Didn't I say she was gonna "throw him for a loop"? huh?
    I love this saga!

    Now this was awesome! The fact that Rathe kinda goes against his own will and takes Fleur with him to candlehearth was truly brilliant! The way he realizes that Fleur isn't just a pretty face, but can actually speak for herself was so cute. And the shots were as brilliant as the story, and they tied with the text so well. You really have a thing for making me excited for the next chapter, i cannot wait!
