Sarah had done a lot lately.

Exerting herself for a world that despised her kind After all, mortals were only food for her and her kin. What real reason did she have to care if they had a good or happy existence?
She began to wonder if her efforts had really been worth it...

Then she remembered the people she had met along the way, the warriors, the heroes, even those that were helpless and relied upon others to save them. Their faces and voices moving through her mind as she sat staring at the flames ahead.

Then she smiled to herself, her eyes wondering off into the distance.
