"For there is a city you see..." She whispered, her eye going dark as it widened, the white filling with black tendrils, "Inside." She pointed to her own temple, covered with dark curly hair.
I shivered a little but couldn't stop the question that escaped, "What do you mean?"
She smiled at me, a strange gesture that twisted her lips and made her seem that much more inhuman, and my blood ran cold, "I will show you..." She whispered, and leaned forward.
Then, there was only death for me.
