This is the kind of thing where you go, "Why did I not take more pictures?".
Just a few hours ago, I got some money to put on Steam for my birthday. So I got Dawnguard with it. When I started playing, I encountered innumerable bugs, errors, and glitches...my follower went missing, several mods started acting weird, the game constantly froze up, and the guards refused to initiate the Dawnguard questline.
Eventually, I got it working until I actually got into Fort Dawnguard. Then I had to reload 12 times to get the Dimhollow quest to activate.
After all this crap, I really needed to let off some steam. So I whipped out my new, shiny crossbow. It felt really good whenever I hit the target, and then, I went after an elk- not only did I get a hit, it was a killcam shot!
Anyway, I decided to get that crypt quest started. So I went back into the main worldspace. Right as I was mounting my horse, though, my game crashed.
That was by no means new to me, so I just restarted the game.
But here's the catch.
Once I finished loading, I realized my crossbow had disappeared. Bolts, too. My quest marker for Dimhollow had vanished. I looked up "Dawnguard" in the console.
Nothing. Gone, erased, obliterated.
So I exited the game and looked closer...
The Dawnguard master file has vanished. It's as if I had never bought it. In other words, I wasted twenty bucks and I no longer have my shiny crossbow.
Sorry for the paragraph...I had to rant.

It'll scroll out to third person view. I'll scroll back into first. It'll bounce into third again. I'll force it into first again. This will repeat endlessly. When I try to use TFC, too, Geralt will freeze completely and the camera won't actually go into flycam- it won't move around, just up and down over Geralt's head. Whenever I go back to regular camera, my mouse ceases to work- I can't select anything from any of the menus. I can draw my weapon with 'r', but I can't attack because you use your mouse for that.
It did that same thing once, a long time ago, but I just restarted the game and everything was peachy. Not this time.
I think I know why Bethesda is nicknamed 'Bugthesda'. Time to invest in a PC-friendly console controller, I guess. No mouse buttons there.

Not sure why Skyrim was acting up like though o.O
