   This looks really promising. I wouldn't choose the Thalmor embassy since it can only be entered during the MQ.
   
   I'd add this to a dead body at some defined landmark point and maybe add a little letter to it.

   very very good texturing, work with some more scretch brushes, it will give more fluidity and movement to the texture, especially with that crappy engine of skyrim that can't enhance the diffuse at all btw very very good, i'm looking forward to see how it comes out...
   maybe try to scale it on the x axis a little bit on the chest area, but that is just my personal taste for ranger armors, i understand if you want to it to look more bulky
