About this image

I'll try to not be too spoilery here.

I personally think this should've been in an optional path/objective when dealing with the Dawnguard generals. The actual side quest feels so underwhelming compared to everything prior. Probably doesn't help that it was a side quest to begin with.

I achieved this by using the Better Vampires mod (plus a certain console command) after having completed the quest normally. I basically ended up redoing the quest (after clearing it out of my log) the way I wanted to do it by going invisible, sneaking up on all of them and biting them.

The best part for me was after turning Isran and hearing him say "I knew it would come to this. I knew, and no one believed me." I felt that perfectly fit the situation/outcome of what I had done even though it\'s a stock line of his.

Actually I do know the answer to your question. I stumbled upon it when making my vampire mods. All NPC have their generic face parts. Simply put, you need to drag & drop hair, eyes, beards etc. ... AND FACES. To my knowlege you can do 3 types of vampires.

One has 100% human look - you just need to drag & drop vampire eyes to the character.

Second one with a scar on the lips is your Player face- It's a result of your race being changed to a VAMPIRE RACE (depending on your initial race).

Dawnguard DLC introduces the third face type - fully bat like and this is in fact a mask. In addition to your vampire race you can also go to face parts and drag & drop a VAMPIRE FACE, also depending on your race.

When you turn into a vampire you get the 2nd face cause only your race is changed. A sufficient scripting change in the PlayerVampireQuest script can make you get the 3rd face type.

Ahaha, this's indeed Hilarious !!!, i must say i was doing the same like what You just did, ofcourse, afterward the game crash alots of times which makes me deleted the save afterward .....

Yeah I had that same problem too. Anything that heavily alters scripts or adds new scripts (like Quest mods) can do alot of damage to your game/saves. My current save has actually gotten really bad due to installing and uninstalling various mods fairly frequently.

Anyways if you want to produce the same vampire Dawnguard results that I've done here without the problems that Better Vampires can/could cause you can pull up the console and change a specific character's race to the vampire version of that race and add them to the player faction. This will produce the same results that Better Vampires does but without having to run any modded scripts.

I really wish I knew. Sometimes the complete face morph happens and sometimes it doesn't. I thought it might have something to do with skin texture mods/replacers but even with the vanilla textures it was still inconsistent with the face morphs. Sometimes it would do the complete morph and with others it would just do a grey face.

At one point I thought it was character specific, but that turned out to not be the case either as I've turned Isran multiple times and sometimes his face would morph completely and others it would just turn grey. I do know that there are certain characters that would never get the face morph like Vori (female on the bottom left) no matter how many times I did it, although oddly enough both Vori and Astrid (from the Dark Brotherhood) have this weird occurance where their blonde hair becomes black after being turned. Could never figure out why that happened.

I had other times where I would turn a character and there face would morph and they'd get the vampire fangs but their eyes wouldn't change.

The other problem I had was the mismatched head and body/skin colors. I know there's a mod that's supposed to fix this but it didn't for me, or maybe that mod only works on player characters and not NPCs.

Thou must tread carefully when fighting mosters. Least thyself may end up becoming one.
