   He was inspecting the dead thief 's corpse just behind him earlier and then checking the blood when I walked up. I swear I did not touch the thief at all, the guards just went berserk and slew him in the night. I just happened to come into Riverwood to sell some loot, but the way he was looking at me was just like he was accusing me of the crime.
