Stetting out on her venture to answer the Grey Beards summons, Thienlin decided to take the pass through the mountains near what was left of Helgen.
Back through Riverwood she went, saying only a passing greeting to her friends, and back through Helgen. Not much was left after the dragon had finished, Helgen was reduced to a burnt out shell where once stood a pleasant mountain village. To her dismay a group of bandits had taken up residence in the ruins, but she dealt with them promptly, and was more than happy to rid the world of such vagabonds.
During her travel through the pass it began to snow but that did little to slow her down, after all she grew up in these region. As the storm cleared she found herself looking upon a familiar and saddening sight. Nestled among some trees and with deathbells growing in the yard was her home. The alchesmist's hut it was known as, mainly because her mother had been excellent at alchemy, and she was widely known as such.
Thienlin walked absent through the small building and through the yard, her mind clouded and a tear in her eye. But her parents had died a long time ago and such wounds had become numb with the passing of time. With one last look around the now deserted building she continued on her journey to High Hrothgar and her destiny. . .
