About this image

(note: this image is long 2846x817 panorama. The thumb-nail is squished into a rather squat square. Click on the thumbnail to view image in its full glory)

I am consistently amazed at the quality of graphics that Skyrim can deliver... with a little help from the modding community. Like all my images, these pictures are un-retouched (save for some cropping and merging to make them panoramic, and the unfortunate shrinking to get under the 1.5MB file-size restriction)

Of course, beautiful as it is, Skyrim doesn't deliver visuals like this on its own, so thanks to all the talented artists and programmers who developed the following mods:

Better Dynamic Snow
Brown Mountains and Rocks
Enhanced Distant Terrain
Immersive HUD
Lush Grass
Project Reality - Climates of Skyrim
Real Snow
Skyrim Flora Overhaul
Supreme and Volumetric Fog
The Wilds ENB

There a variety of tools you can use, either stand-alone or part of an image-manipulation suite.
Autopano Pro is an example of one of the former, and Adobe Photoshop is an example of the latter

Personally, I use a free stand-alone product called "Autostitch" (available at http://www.cs.bath.ac.uk/brown/autostitch/autostitch.html ). Although other tools may be more powerful or offer more features, I find Autostitch works very well and is painless to use. I just take the screen shots (usually about fifteen, in three rows of five each) for a total viewing expanse of around 140 degrees horizontal and 70 vertical (with a lot of overlap). Autostitch merges them into one long panorama, and then I crop the image into a nice rectangle focused on the interesting bits.

How do you make it panoramic?
