This is one of the things I love about this game... where you happen to be in the right place at the right time, when light and conditions just happen that make you were right there in real life to see it...
I don't know of Bethesda designed it that way, or it's just serendipity rearing its head, but they keep me playing far past the dictates of common sense.
Much of the time I'm far from inspired by the games quests or the rewards from same... but oh, when you round the curve in the road that you've passed through a dozen times, and the light and weather conspire to turn the familiar into pure magic. The sunset through a copes of trees, sun rising beneath a threatening layer of clouds, the magnificent views from the 7000 steps when the weather is good...
