    it's very interesting how you solved weightpaint hell for this. Because skyrim doesn't love skirt modders and users - they should balance between bursting with every step skirt and clipping with every step skirt. or delete legs and make skirt that touches ground

    Yeah, I try not to rely on normal maps since the results are often disappointing.


    On the other hand, if Skyrim were to actually support tessellation...

    there is already so much detail in the meshes. That is awesome. But like you said, weightpaint would be a pain in the a**

    Skirts and long cloths like this are always difficult to skin for the anime in videogames, and the result is not really often beautiful, so i wish you good luck :/

    There's the automated skin wrap, but it never gives good results on complex geometries...

    Hand painting was fun for the first 10 or so sets, but after ~50 sets, it becomes a massive chore :[


    And...have to manually fine tune the *bounce* to make it more ... natural >.>

    I never weight painted a mesh, but it looks a pain in da booty... D:
