That headless horseman is something interesting... but i have never met him after first time i met him
Never had Steam deleting any of my games installed there before... so this is rather strange that it happened to you, and lets hope Steam didnt delete any of your save-files too then.. that would've been a pain.. :/
EDIT: Just read your answer to Alexs comment.. so its good your saves is in good hands ^^
