About this image

(*NOTE* Ergh, I'm a bit ill, and I feel like crap, and my brain is all fuzzy, so what I've written might be a pile of blargh. But here we go, moving Syl's story along little by little)

About a week after Syl's first contract Astrid had tasked her to to handle arranging a Dark Brotherhood contract with a client and to complete it personally. Sylandris had been all to happy to accept and was now in Windhelm to complete the first half of that contract. The Sanctuary had been restless recently with the arrival of the Night Mother and her bumbling keeper, Cicero.

Sylandris was lost in thought as she rounded a corner, but found her way blocked by a large figure, she could barely see his face for the snow swirling around them.

"So, another useless Greyskin clogging up our city" Growled a deep voice. Sylandris groaned, it was Rolff Stone-Fist. Sylandris had heard of how he often got drunk and went around Windhelm at night, intimidating elves and argonians.

"Look, just get out of my way, keep walking, and we'll pretend this never happened, hmm?" Syl said, and tried to get past him, but Rolff was having none of it and pushed her back. Angered, Syl considered reaching for her bow or her dagger, but causing chaos now would make it harder for her to reach her contract...

"Oh, you have a smart mouth, don't you?" Rolff spat angrily, his breath stinking of ale "Well, tiny elf witch, perhaps it's time somebody taught you a lesson. Time somebody put you in your-" Rolff froze midsentance and went rigid as if he\'d just had a body binding spell cast on him. Syl gripped her half-drawn dagger and blinked in confusion. Then a very familiar voice growled, low and menacingly:

"That is *not* how to treat a lady. Your manners, quite frankly, are appalling" It was Veezara! He had snuck up on Rolff and with one hand he\'d grabbed the back of Rolff\'s neck, the other hand was aiming a dagger at his back. Rolff blabbered pathetically as Veezara shoved him down the steps into the cold snow.

Sylandris blinked at him, and tried to hide just how relieved she felt. She wasn\'t afraid of Rolff, but she hadn't wanted to do anything that would put her contract at risk...

"Veezara? What are YOU doing here?" She asked as the Argonian chuckled at the sight of Rolff running away.

"Coincidently I also had a contract to fulfill here tonight. As I was about to leap the city wall I overheard that drunken oaf shouting and decided to do something about it. It was a fun end to my evening. I'll see you back at the Sanctuary, Syl. Stay safe\" and with that he was gone as if he\'d just vanished, leaving nothing but swirling snow where he\'d stood.

Syl raised an eyebrow, then went back to stalking her own target. That argonian was a very strange man indeed, she thought to herself.

It was only afterwards when Syl was washing the blood out of her armour she realised that Veezara might of been lying to her. However she was too tired to ponder this further and went to bed, the Sanctuary, despite being a huge cave full of mould, was surprisngly cozy.

Stalked by an assassin, with a crush on her... Let's see where that goes
Get well soon, I was sick too, but Sithis commanded me to post the episodes of Alvhilde's DB quests, even in my sickness, fever and whatnot. You must stay strong to continue your tale too, great work, lady vailen.
