About this image
It had been two weeks since that fateful encounter in the shack, and Sylandris had adapted to life as a member of the Dark Brotherhood quickly. She was now part of a family, according to Astrid, and Syl found that life in sanctuary was rather interesting.
When she had first entered the Sanctuary she had been greeted warmly by all her new brothers and sisters. Gabriella, a fellow dark elf, had taken an immediate liking to Sylandris and the two became fast friends. Then there was Festus, who despite being kranky as hell was surprisingly likeable, even if his constant ranting about magic often lulled Syl and Gabriella into a bored stupor. Everybody had been rather pleasant to Sylandris really. Well, everybody except Arnbjorn the werewolf who loved giving Syl new nicknames, depending on how hungry he was. today it was "Tidbit" tomorrow it'll probably be "lambshank" He wasn't very welcoming to Syl, but he follows his wife's orders all the same.
However, there was one member who remained a mystery to Sylandris; the Argonian, Veezara. He was polite enough when they first met, explaining how he was the last of the Shadowscales, an elite group of asssassins from Blackmarsh, but always kept his conversations short. Sylandris wondered wether he avoided her because she was a dark elf, but he was friendly enough with Gabriella whenever she saw them comparing contracts. Syl just figured he was a reclusive man and preferred to keep to himself, yet she couldn't help but feel drawn to him.
After a while Sylandris was finally sent out on her first contract, and in her new personalised armour she set off, pondering what her victim did to deserve a Dark Brotherhood contract. Suddenly she heard a noise behind her, like somebody stepping on a branch. Syl spun round and drew her bow, ready to face an ambush...
And found Veezara standing there, looking amused.
"So, those big ears of yours arn't just for show" he chuckled, folding his arms over his chest.
Sylandris blinked at him.
"What are YOU doing here? Are you... following me?"
Veezara smirked at her. "not very quick on the uptake though are you? Yes, I was following you. Astrid has ordered me to observe your first contract to make sure it all goes well. I promise not to get in the way, I was ordered only to watch"
This annoyed Sylandris slightly. Had she not earned her trust yet?
"Very well", she replied haughtily "if Astrid commands it. I do not need babysitting though"
Veezara flashed her a grin, showing a set of dangerous looking pointy teeth.
"As you say, elf. Now lets set off shall we? We don't want to keep your "friend" waiting...."
sighing, Sylandris set off with Veezara following beside her. She half-heartedly wondered if there was a joke about a dunmer and an Argonian walking down a road...

I'm flattered ^^ I wouldn't call myself a good story teller, I'm very out of practice and make plenty of mistakes, but i love putting stories to my characters and it's rather fun :3
