Well, I guess it's a nice gesture, and it also helps the nexus team with expenses such as the domain fee and paying others to make the site even more useful.

It's like $4 bucks for a months' membership (around 2.50 in pounds, I think). It's not expensive by any means. Also, I didn't pay for access to the Supporter's Section. I paid to help Nexus out because I like the site. I can also download a lot of mods for free too but I'll still donate if I like a mod author's work enough. It's called "being charitable".
You otherwise ruined a good moment for everyone. We pay as Premium or Supporter for the purpose of supporting this wonderful network.
