About this image

Working on a body replacer for practice (and fun). Not sure if I'm going to release it as it's my first effort, but it's good good practice.

Obviously this is untextured.

Looks pretty darn good! My only gripe is that the crotch area seems somewhat long, especially in the 2nd image. That's quite possibly caused by the sides (groin) going somewhat back in again.

Haha, no big promises (EEO and Dagi users will rip me to shreds if I keep ignoring them) but I like seeing efforts like this and doing something like a normal map or skin texture doesn't take me long, so it's just fun to do once in a while. We'll see!

Roadkill is a standalone app, it takes OBJ files. Just export your body, load it into Roadkill, cut the seams and re-export back into Blender for adjustments. It's heavenly, I use it at work like every day.

Does roadkill work for blender? Cause that's what I got.

I'd recommend aiming to replicate the UV of the vanilla bodies as closely as possible. That makes managing neck seams much easier = seams down the undersides of the arms and sides of the body, shoulders unseamed. Leaving in vanilla/UNP UVs for the hands and feet also saves time and helps with compatibility. Most common solution seems to be cutting a seam where the thigh joins the hip and down along the inner thighs. It's just really good for hiding the seams and making body textures - and makes adapting Khajiit and Argonian textures endlessly easier.

And by god - grab Roadkill. It's a free UV unwrapping program that saves time SO MUCH. Especially if you work with Max otherwise.
