You're not really disagreeing with anything I just said though. We're on the same page. Moonpath is fucking beautiful. It's amazing to look at it, it's got a very, very original design that stands out above anything released before, official or unofficial. On that note, it's quite similar to Shivering Isles.
The key difference though is that SI was huge. It had a shitton of things to do and a lot of free reign. Moonpath does not. It's a path. It's a wonderful environment that the creator put a lot of care and thought in to, it's amazing to look at and walk through, and it's a believable candidate for anyone's favorite mod. But SI was special because it had so much to do. Moonpath doesn't have a lot in the questing or exploration departments. It's a straight forward trek with a few single deviations.
My friend, each man has it's favorites and this one's mine. The atmosphere in this place is beyond any official DLC so far and it makes me remember the Isles more than anything else. The modder managed to create a believable environment that's simply magnificent. So I have to agree to disagree.
It's certainly a very beautiful and creative mod, but calling it Shivering Isles is a stretch. Moonpath is very straight forward with little room left for exploration and minimal sidequests. It's like the Bloodmoon of Skyrim. Beautiful, interesting, unique, but ever so limited.
