This image ominously captures the very reason why history calls the year that Morrowind died "The Red Year".
I personally believe Bethesda should have called it the "Red Decade", because a volcanic explosion powerful enough to practically vaporize an island the size of Vvardelfell would bring LONG-term environmental disaster to all of eastern Tamriel, not just Morrowind.
We are talking about Krakatoa on stearoids, roughly 100 Megatons or more. Be somewhere FAR away when that happens!
Edit:
When, in the game, my character views eastward into Morrowind, over the Velothi Mountains, in the hazy distance, the shape of Vvardenfell Island, with the peak of Red Mountain, looks perfectly intact, and is thus massively lore-breaking, LOL!
Hopefully that wee detail could be fixed by someone who might care to?
That's now the official backstory of this shot. Sounds a lot better than "a cautionary tale about what happens when you switch to the wrong weather at the wrong time with my ENB"
Just to be sure, if this is a sunset, it is an exquisitely beautiful one!
Thank you kindly, anaphiel, and cheers! AmadanBezerk
