About this image

Breton mage character, old save. I don't play her anymore, "pure" mages have too much firepower past lvl 35-40 and IMHO they become boring = no more RP. Razing entire cities with fireballs and ice storms isn't fair.

That's the only way to buff destruction dmg + I sacrificed other magic 4 that - no necro, no illusion, etc.

Anyway, I restarted my Mage playthrough and character, now using this one:

trying to make her a GOOD adventuring mage this time, and not the reincarnation of Narnia's White Witch (or Sauron's little girl) up here

Hmm, I didn't think of that, good point. Never bothered to level enchanting that far myself.

@ emble : no mod, but if u combine a high enchanting lvl + fire/frost/lightning ench. perks with your Destruction skills and never use a blade... + use magicka regen. perks & items, you quickly become a modern Destroyer at long & medium range. The fireball is particularly devastating.

TBH I think It's just not my style. I use magic for support w/ other characters (argonian assassin or khajiit thief)

@ sw18576 Nothing new here, Apachii SkyHair, the latest patch + UNP boots (UNP body of course), Bella's better females (face mod). Robes = Slave Leia UNP (last v.), the "chainmail" (silver in fact) color. Gloves = psijiic gloves modded by me. No armor at all.

What matters is the necklace = I installed an "Archmage Necklace" mod that has the enchantment of the ugly Archmage Robes (search on nexus and replaced the mesh/texture with the pentagram one (drudenfuss amulet mod) = Archmage powers without that ragged robe.

EDIT she's on top of the DARK TOWER, Reaper's amazing house mod. A must have as long as there's no decent mage tower mod released.

I beg to differ, since destruction damage doesn't scale like with melee weapons and their respective enchantments (unless you have a mod that does just that), mages become actually rather weak very lategame. But I agree, they're probably at their strongest at the levels you mentioned.
